June Social
The next social of the club will be on Wednesday 7 June at the Little Ship Club from 6:30 pm onwards. The LSC is located at Bell Wharf Lane, Upper Thames Street, London, EC4R 3TB. Round The Island Race
The annual RTI race takes place this Saturday, 3 June. Anyone participating in their own boat should let Lawrence Nicholls know. A ranking of all the boats from LLYC competing will be given in the next newsletter so you will see how your sailing compares to other club members. Last year the fastest corrected time of members of the club was posted by Anthony Llewellyn Davies in his boat Doris Minor. You never know there might even be a prize this year!

East Coast Rally
The Club would like to organise and annual event for our members with or without boats who are based on the East Coast. If there is sufficient support it is proposed to arrange a week-end rally later this summer (when it arrives!!) at Burnham-on-Crouch (Drinks followed by a dinner) but before fixing arrangements it would be helpful if any interested members could advise John Pawley of likely numbers and most convenient dates.

Please pass this message on to any other members or potential members who you know may be interested in participating. If possible John will try to match potential crew with owners and vice versa.

Even if you are unable to attend an event this year it would be useful to compile a list of those us enjoying the more relaxed life away from the Solent so when replying please could you include the following details:

  • Name and address including email
  • Boat Name and type (if any)
  • Home Port
  • Interested/Not able to attend this year
  • Preferred Dates
  • Any ideas of how to generate interest for the club from the East Coast.
Please reply to John Pawley, 12 Kings Road, Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex CM0 8RP. email:-jonpen.pawley@virgin.net. Phone:- 07973 265746
