Lutine is a Swan 53 and
embodies all that is required of the perfect
cruiser,
providing
a
truly bluewater model that is uncompromised in
its style, its outstanding interiors and its
ability to provide the definitive cruising experience
on any ocean in the world.
Whether it is a relaxed day sail or a demanding
ocean crossing, the Swan 53 provides the best of
both worlds for any owner without compromising
the thrill and excitement of discovery. Thanks
to her design features and seaworthiness, the performance
of the Swan 53 is consistent and reliable, with
the design of her hull ensuring a smooth sail in
every condition. Easy sailing is assisted by the
choice of two keel and rudder alternatives; a standard,
traditional fin keel and rudder and an optional
alternative with dagger-board keel and twin rudders,
giving this new model one of the most shallow drafts
in her size class (1.4m) and an excellent steering
capacity.
A non-overlapping jib and double sweptback spreaders
increase both comfort and safety, whilst the twin
wheels give freedom of movement in the cockpit
and an optimal steering position to windward. German
Frers, comments on the philosophy behind this new
edition to the Nautor range: “One of my starting
points when I designed the Swan 53, was to create
a classic cruising model, where comfort and social
life, combined with the option to retreat to one’s
own quiet space, are essential elements.
The Swan 53 is built for comfort, whether sailing
or anchored. Her hull shape is voluminous and with
three spacious and luxurious cabins, she is able
to accommodate up to eight people with ease. Despite
the model’s size, two people can easily handle
the yacht allowing a greater flexibility for any
owner.
The Swan 53 offers her owners a volume that
allows for maximum living space on board, but does
not sacrifice the performance that makes for exciting
sailing. It is stable, promising a good behaviour
at sea, with seaworthiness as a strong asset.
The new Swan 53 is a combination
of true comfort and seaworthiness, making her perfect
for bigger adventures at sea.
